2-1 What inheritance laws apply in Japan?

   ・Inheritance is governed by the national law of the decedent. 

   (Act on General Rules for Application of Laws Article 36)

・The formation and effect of a will are governed by the national law of a  

   testator at the time of the formation.(Article37(1))

・The rescission of a will is governed by the national law of a testator at the

   time of the rescission.(Article37(2))

  ・In cases where the national law of a party concerned is govern, if Japanese law is govern           in  accordance with the law of the country of the national law, Japanese law is govern.
